Study Detail: Adult Stem Cell Study
Principal Investigator: Joel Boyd, MD
The problem: The meniscus, a C-shaped pad in the knee joint, can be torn or damaged.
Innovation: Adult stem cells, not embryonic, are injected into the affected region of the meniscus in an effort to regenerate the damaged tissue.
Enrollment: Closed, patients in follow-up.
