A way to speak up for your rights as a patient.

What is a grievance?
A grievance is a complaint alleging a violation of patient rights,
which cannot be resolved to the patient’s satisfaction and which initiates a formal
process of resolution. A grievance may be a formal or informal written or verbal
complaint. A grievance involving neglect, verbal, mental, physical or sexual abuse or
mistreatment initiates an immediate process of resolution.
How can I submit a grievance?
Any patient may voice grievances and recommend changes in policies and services to facility
staff and others of his or her choice, free from restraint, interference, coercion,
discrimination, or reprisal, including threat of discharge.
